Allyson Musser, age 3, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma in March of 2018. Their lives were turned upside down while trying to comprehend the diagnoses, and the road ahead of them. Kevin and Glenda were struggling to spilt their time between working, caring for Allyson at the hospital, and taking care of their other two children (Olivia and Stella). The CMHF has stepped in, and is paying their mortgage for the next four months to try an make life just a little bit easier for them.   Glenda writes, “we feel so very grateful for your generous help in relieving the financial pressures that come along with such a tragedy. Thank you so much Conner M Holland Foundation, we feel so blessed”.

Meet Anna

Anna Lesher is nine months old and was diagnosed with infant ALL in January 2018. To keep mom by Anna’s side and allow dad to care for their other four children, the CMHF is paying the Lesher family’s mortgage for five months while Anna undergoes treatment at CHOP. The family writes, “We are so grateful for the help the from the Conner M. Holland Foundation. Time to spend with our children instead of worrying over getting the extra time in at work or doing extra to save money, that is invaluable. To be able to focus on our daughter and our other children at this time is an amazing gift and we are very thankful to you for helping our family. I am ever so grateful and this is a beautiful way to honor Conner by helping other families.”

An honor to say the least

Sheryl speaking at the 2018 Hope Gala.

On March 10th, Sheryl Holland graciously accepted the 2018 Leah Still Award for Courage at the Hope Gala in New York City. This incredible honor is awarded to those who have been personally affected by cancer, shown perseverance in the face of adversity, and used their experience to raise awareness and give back to the cancer community through personal or professional efforts.

Since 2012, the Conner M. Holland Foundation has provided over $126,000 in financial assistance, with $20,000 ready and waiting for future families in need. We have provided over 9,300 pairs of pajamas to children in hospitals all over the country through Conner’s Comfy PJ’s, and we are looking to expand this year by helping bereaved parents with financial struggles after losing a child to cancer.

We could not have done this without the generous support of our donors. It is because of you that we can help these families and honor Conner’s legacy. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and hope you will remain by our side as we continue to grow!

A New Year, A New Beginning

Over the last 5 years, the Conner M. Holland Foundation has offered financial assistance to 27 families in south eastern PA and delivered 5000+ pair of PJs to children at 8 separate pediatric hospitals across the country. We are proud of the contributions made to members of our community, as grant recipients have often told us how these financial gifts have eased the challenges of caring for sick children. These programs were developed and managed by a 100% volunteer staff, and as our organization grew we faced an important question: do we continue to follow our current path, or do we branch out in new ways in an effort to grow? We felt strongly that in order to continue helping families affected by pediatric cancer, we needed to make an investment in a passionate leader to expand our reach.

It is with great excitement that we introduce our new Executive Director, Rebecca Stanion.

Rebecca is a perfect fit for our organization. She is passionate about providing assistance to families experiencing a hardship and she has experience and a proven track-record in organizing successful fundraising events. Her enthusiasm, dedication, attention to detail and ability to motivate and engage members of the community makes her the ideal person to serve as our first Executive Director.

With Rebecca’s drive and passion, we expect to give assistance to even more families than ever before.
